Job Description and Responsibilities:

 

This position works under the general supervision of the Contracts Manager in a fast-paced and dynamic government contracting environment. The Contract Administrator is responsible for supporting the full contract lifecycle for a portfolio of federal government contracts. This position requires the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and effectively coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide contract administration support throughout the contract lifecycle, including contract award, modification processing, contract maintenance, and contract closeout activities.
  • Review and support the processing of contracts, modifications, non-disclosure agreements, teaming agreements, and other contractual documents.
  • Analyze contract terms and conditions to identify contractual obligations, risks, compliance requirements, and business impacts.
  • Process contract actions and maintain contract records in accordance with company policies, procedures, and applicable government regulations.
  • Establish and maintain contract records, contract files, and support documentation in company repositories and contract management systems.
  • Perform project setup and contract modification updates within Deltek Costpoint and other internal systems.
  • Monitor contract funding, periods of performance, option periods, deliverables, reporting requirements, and other key contractual milestones.
  • Support contract closeout activities and coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely completion of closeout requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing contract documentation and responding to audit requests.
  • Participate in kickoff meetings, customer meetings, and internal coordination meetings as required.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure contractual actions are properly communicated and processed.
  • Prepare internal contract summaries, routing documents, notifications, and other communications related to contractual actions.
  • Review solicitations, contracts, and modifications and communicate key requirements, obligations, and impacts to internal stakeholders.
  • Identify, track, mitigate, and resolve contractual risks and issues in a timely manner.
  • Maintain current knowledge of government contracting regulations, industry best practices, and changes to applicable laws and regulations.
  • Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of contract administration processes, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Ensure contract deliverables, notifications, and reporting requirements are tracked and completed in accordance with contractual requirements.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Contracts Management, Acquisition Management, or a related field; equivalent experience may be substituted for education.
  • Minimum 4-6 years of contract administration experience supporting federal government contracts.
  • Experience reviewing and processing contractual documents and contract modifications in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR); experience with the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) preferred.
  • Experience reviewing and processing contract modifications, option exercises, funding actions, and other contractual changes.
  • Experience utilizing Deltek Costpoint or similar ERP systems.
  • Strong understanding of contract lifecycle management and contract file administration.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple contracts and competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while exercising sound business judgment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Experience supporting government contractor compliance requirements preferred.
  • Occasional travel may be required.

Physical Requirements:

 

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have enough mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. May include lifting weigh up to thirty (30) pounds, as necessary. 

 

Location/Work Schedule:

 

This is a remote work-from-home position. While the role offers flexibility, the Contracts Administrator – Mid Level is expected to be available during standard business hours and maintain a dedicated workspace. Occasionally, this position may require support outside of regular hours, including early mornings or evenings, to meet critical deadlines or business needs.

 

Salary Range:

 

$65,000 - $85,000

Pay Range

USD $65,000.00 - USD $85,000.00 /Yr.
